Imagewest Completes Work for Lorenzo de’ Medici in Italy 7.6.12

Imagewest spent four weeks working for the Instituto Lorenzo de’ Medici (LdM) in Florence, Italy.

LdM is an Italian international institution that caters to American students and other English-speaking students. They have four campuses in Florence, Rome, Tuscania and Venice and teach 2,800 students each year. They have been a leader in Italian study abroad since their inception in 1973.

Imagewest worked on two major projects while in Italy. The students created a promotional video for LdM to feature on their website, social media, at trade shows and orientations. The video highlights student life, classes offered by LdM and the benefits to studying abroad in Italy. The team also worked on a digital marketing plan for LdM to implement throughout the next few years. The plan included primary and secondary research on LdM’s students and digital tools LdM can use to market itself more effectively to their target audience.

Imagewest lived in an apartment in the central area across from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Duomo) and were within walking distance of the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi, Accademia and many other historical landmarks. Along with working, Imagewest was able to explore many different cities in Italy. The team visited Naples, Capri, Pompeii, Siena, Lucca, Pisa and Rome.

This was the fifth consecutive summer that Imagewest lived and worked abroad for four weeks.

Imagewest international scholarship recipients and team members included: Megan Dunlevy (Louisville), Rachael King (Owensboro), Catherine Montano (Louisville), Dalton Rowe (Winchester), Kayla Spelling (Covington) and Jake Stephenson (Louisville). Group leaders are Imagewest Agency Director Heather Garcia (Franklin) and Agency Assistant and Professor Mark Simpson (LeSage, W.Va.).
