Imagewest International will be taking their fourth international trip abroad to work on client projects. This year the team formed a partnership with the Global Editors Network (GEN). It is a non-profit association of news editors-in-chief and senior news executives from around the world working to make a collaborative effort to preserve the quality of journalism while supporting the digital environment. GEN was established in March 2011 in an effort to break down the barriers between traditional and new platforms allowing editors-in-chief and seniors news executives working in print, digital, mobile or broadcast to gather and share information to define the future of journalism and create new editorial services.
Imagewest will be developing goals, strategies, and tactics to grow GEN’s memberships and increase registration for the NEWS! World Summit 2011 in Hong Kong.
While abroad, the Imagewest International team will have the rare chance to learn and experience different cultures by living and working for a month in Paris. Also, the team will be taking two side trips to Amsterdam and London.
In 2008, the team traveled to Malaysia to work with the International Islamic University in Malaysia (IIUM). In 2009, the agency traveled to Madrid to work with the City Council of Villanueva de la Cañada. In 2010, the agency traveled to Barcelona to work with the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) liaison offices in Europe.
